Album
Pocket Revolution is the fourth studio album by dEUS, released in 2005. The cover art is based on The Von Neumann-Machine, a story from Don Lawrence's Storm series of graphic novels. Pocket Revolution was the first dEUS studio album to be released in six years, since The Ideal Crash in 1999. The band featuring Craig Ward and Danny Mommens disintegrated during its recording. Craig Ward who was supposed to produce the record left the band in August 2004, soon followed by Danny Mommens. They were. Pocket Revolution finally arrived in 2006 the album was first made available in 2005 as an import, however, and once more, the group offers an album that refuses to be pinned down to a single style. It's easy to pick out modern-day bands which sound comparable, such as the Coldplay-ish 7 Days, 7 Weeks and the Eels-ish If You Don't Get What You Want, but dEus has been around a heck of a lot longer. Pocket Revolution sounds to me as the weakest album of dEUS. Don't understand me wrong: it is a good one, but dEUS sounds more creative in albums like 'Worst Case Scenario' and 'In A Bar, Under The Sea'. January 22nd 2006. Include me out and pocket revolution are also excellent songs. Hopefuly we wont have to wait as long for their next album. KoraX August 17th 2006. Indie Rock. dEUS' music isn't godly, but in the second half of the 90s they released three very good albums that weren't easily pigeonholed. The first two in particular hop from genre to genre, while 1999's The Ideal Crash took all their manic eccentricity and channeled it into a slightly more accessible package. Six years later, Pocket Revolution continues that evolution with a sharp, direct attack that undoubtedly has more commercial potential than anything they've released before. Album 2006 12 Songs.
